Who drops stabilisers, We have never used them so i just wondered who drops them??

Never used them neither, thats another reason why its better than caravanning - no jockey wheels, no jacks, no pushing /shoving and no expensive motor movers.....

Somebody will be along soon to tell us we must use them otherwise we will strain the chasis......or something..

Always use them when on a campsite to level the back end left to right but mostly every movement Joe makes in the overcab bed makes the backend bounce about and every movement we make does the same to him, there is a funny story that goes with this but not for the forum ;)

Maybe too much grease in the torsion bar :D :D
BTW I replaced the nipples on mine we can have a look at greasing your nipples (so to speak) at Leek if you want?

They are fitted on my van but there is a warning about not putting too much weight on them, so I cannot see the point really. They are probably seized up now anyway. :)

I use mine, like you say keeps the van from rocking (if you know what I mean ) Helps when it gets windy as its almost like being on a boat.
With carrying the motorbike in the back & having the bed above the garage takes a bit of strain of the suspension. Usually drop 'em (the stabilizers) when leaving the van parked up for a while. It says that the max load on each is 1 ton . I did have a problem with one of them, it was free enough until it got any weight on it then it was impossible to turn. I managed to strip it down & found that the weight was taken on a nylon washer which had disintegrated so it was metal to metal & the more weight the harder to turn. I put a couple of metal washers with loads of grease on it. Meant to take them apart & make some brass washers when I get the time.

Thought this was for stabilisers for AJ after a few malts. :D:D:D
