Spring has sprung

Like many others I have over the past few weeks been putting the finishing touches to the spring escape.

We are hoping to get away by the end of April depending on the "%**^%**" solicitors and travel all routes south to Croatia.

Calais - Martelange, cheap fuel, - Ulm - Innsbruck - Vipiteno - Brunico - Udine - Trieste - Pula. Its a route we know well

So thats the plan, but as in all things in life, it could change.

High tea at High Clere then a week or so stooging around southern England before the tunnel, a visit to Claude's garden at Giverny and wander down via a pal's house near Limoges to the Barcelona area for a week or so and the Spanish Grand Prix. A week travelling back via Calais and a visit to Birmingham for a concert by the B.S.O.

First continental trip and really looking forwards to it.

Off this week for 3 months, also to Croatia. Via Belgium, Givet for the French wineboxes, east bank of the Rhine, Wurzburg, Regensburg, Linz, then through the Steiermark Alps for a change, across Slovenia and into the top right hand corner of Croatia, down the middle, back up the coast, then return via Slovenia, Bovec, Predil Pass, Jaufenpass, Passo del Rombo / Tillerjoch Pass, Silvretta Hochstrasse, then along the Bodensee ( avoiding extortionate Swiss campsites), Black Forest, Alsace, northern France. Perhaps we'll see your big W in Croatia?

Nothing as exciting !! .an old Mercedes to get the air con sorted ,serviced and motd for a pal ..interesting car used to belong the US ambassador in Madrid some interesting history with it, then fire it down to a small village Swallowcliffe in Wiltshire....no doubt a pub will be involved at some point then back to Leeds with a van surplus to requirements Peugeout partner

Hoping to motorcycle in Denmark later in the year pennies allowing and one or two other bit
