Just read in the Daily Mail on-line Headline News that the French Police are exploiting the English Drivers.
An interesting article.
We received a speeding ticket last time over there in April.

Have the speed cameras been programmed to pick on the English ? Idly curious .
Obviously doesn't affect me

I think its a couple of things 1 a private agency now controling the speed cameras catching up on what the police didn,t bother with 2 the lowering of speed limits making it difficult to cruise at 80 kms + dozens of new speed cameras with out warnings. Their being installed quicker than the yellow vest can burn them out

We're no different in the UK. Lothian and Borders Police (pre Police Scotland) advertised for a Safety Camera Partnership manager - salary in place for 1 year and thereafter self financing. Bit of an incentive for motorists to feel the full clout of the law. However, answer is not to speed, but appreciate that can be difficult especially quite often when there are different limits on one stretch of road.

I read they were planning on raising the speed limit back up to what it was before they made it 80. Has anyone else come across that?

I cam home last week and received a 90euro fine for 56kph in a 50. Fine issued as 51kph as they reduce the recorded speed by 5.
