My T5 california did not come with a spare wheel. There is an apparent tailor made space underneath the van at the rear where I believe one could be fitted without interfering with the clean and grey water drain outlets or the diesel heater vent. Any information on the problems/disadvantages of fitting one would be welcome. The advantages of having a spare wheel are becoming obvious to us as we are starting to spend more time in out of the way parts of the UK and Europe and I'm not comfortable travelling with just the inflation and gunge kit. Any advice on where to buy a steel wheel and tyre would also be helpful. Thanks.
