We were on the 66 motorway heading for Vitoria Gasteiz on the last Sunday in February, it was raining really hard, we were flagged down by a Policeman from the Guarda, who indicated we should pull into a pull off which we did, to my horror I saw we were pulled in to be weighed. A large artic.lorry was being dealt with in front of us, we had to wait for about 10 minutes until they were done with him. The Policeman then walked to my van, looked at my Tag Axles and told me to be on my way, WOW what a relief, I try to keep my weight down as much as possible, but we were on the home run with lots of wine etc. on board so who knows ,Scarey.

Get air rides. This way you could pump up the MH to look level. Cops look for a sagging back end and think, "They are overloaded". Just a thought, I could be wrong.

My Hymer B694 always rides high at the back, due I guess to the tag axle, that's why when we park on a slope for the night I always park facing up hill as this makes the van level fore and aft, I never look overloaded but I try to keep things light, I was just pulled in because I was the next large vehicle to come along I think, I was doing about 60 mph when I was suddenly waved in and it was a quick turn in as I had very little notice .:(
