A cheaper 2 hour test is now an option for entry to Spain by sea. Problem is I can’t find anybody offering this test in the U.K. other than at some U.K. airports if you live near one. Why can’t Portsmouth Port Authorities offer this test?
The antigen test is still not acceptable at this time which seems to be the only rapid common test available from Boots and others.

Spain modifies Covid-19 test requirements for travellers
The Spanish Health Ministry has changed requirements for compulsory testing for arrivals by sea and air and from December 10th will accept a negative TMA test as well as a PCR.
