Hello,
We are looking at going to Bardenas Realis on our way back to the UK during our first trip abroad in our camper van. I read that the roads are gravel, does anybody know if they are ok for a camper van to travel on? We have a Peugeot Boxer converted van.

Thanks

Nick

Hi Nick,

Lovely place, you’ll be fine but you’ll need to tread carefully in places.

We went there with our converted relay several years ago. Lovely place, some "roads" we didn't attempt though. From what I remember there was a good park up on the edge of a town nearby under the cliffs with cave houses to see.

We were there in June 2017. Overnight at the Agguedas free aire, with abandoned rock houses above. Spent a day in the park, exploring the scenery, very enjoyable. Gravel roads no problem, especially as we weren't in a hurry, Definitely worth a visit.

You’ll find it fascinating. We found roads to be no problem for our A-Class. Max speed 19mph anyway.

Hello, we stayed in the free air at Agguedas which was great and the rock houses were interesting. We also spent a day on the gravel roads, the scenery is very impressive. Only issue we had was that the van was full of dust at the end of this and we had to spend some time cleaning out afterwards but it was worth it.

Thanks everyone for the help and advice.

Nick
