Spain and Portugal here we come !

I first posted a while ago when we first started converting our Iveco, so thought I'd post an update ! The van is just about ready to go (I was going to say finished ... but I don't think it's ever going to be finished !) Just the solar panel to go .. oh and I'd quite like a spice rack !! I know, I know it's not at the top of the list of priorities but still ...Kev has done an amazing job with the conversion - exactly how I imagined it. Work today and tomorrow, then Thursday to pack the van ready to leave Cornwall on Thursday evening to catch our ferry from Portsmouth to Santander Friday morning !

Now a full member so looking forward to wild camping as much as possible with just the occasional camp site when necessary.

So excited to get on the road now and explore Spain and Portugal - we haven't booked a return ferry yet, but planning around a month away !

Really glad to be part of this lovely group. I haven't posted much but it has been a fantastic source of information and it's great to know there's help and advice on here. Thank you.

For the last two years (two week holidays) we have ventured to Spain/Portugal, and this year (in July) it will be the same for another two weeks.
Portsmouth-Santander, then heading to Llanes, and from there work our way round to Portugal where we hope to spend the majority of our holiday.
Have a good trip, we can't wait to be able to leave work behind for longer trips abroad.

Decided to head straight down to the Algarve as weather was pretty grey and rainy further north, so now happily wandering around the western algarve ! Yes John, my name is from the very same ! We came down here many years ago and I loved Ingrina beach back then ... and the other night we even wild camped on the headland just to the west of the beach. Yes, we have used the the water station and Lidl at Bispo is very cheap/useful too Hope you are enjoying your travels ! It seems the GNR are moving people on a fair bit, but we have been lucky so far .... we are keeping a low profile in our stealth van !

I will try and put some photos on n brown but not sure how !
