Could anyone tell me what the problem is with this solar system? On the bottom photo No 1 isn’t lit and No 2 is flashing green

Looks like battery 1 isn't connected.
If you're not familiar with the system you can search tinternet for epever mt1 instructions.
If this is a new van purchase then first check that the unit is set to actually send some charge to battery 1, then temporarily set to charge both 50-50 split. If battery 1 still not lit then swap the 2 battery connections over at the unit and if No1 still not lit then there's a fault with the unit. However if it changes to No2 light not lit then there is an issue with the wiring to battery 1, check connections and fuses to battery 1.

Trace the positive wires coming from solar controller, mine has 20amp inline fuses for each. Had a similar problem, one fuse had blown on No 1 battery. Battery 2 was still charging was fine

Thanks for the replies. It’s in for repairs tomorrow. It was the leisure battery that had gone down. Went into the van yesterday and the battery was gurgling, warm and really smelly.

That's overcharging.
I'd guess the solar controller is shot and that's cream crackered the battery.
That smell is hydrogen gas and its VERY explosive, get the windows and doors open and after the smell has cleared disconnect the battery. DONT disconnect it before clearing the gas, a spark could be fatal.

Thanks again. Back from being repaired. It was just the battery that had died. Not surprised it had been in for 9years. Everything checked and working fine.
