Hello all

Wanting some advice on solar panels, wanting one fitted to my Peugeot boxer which already has batteries and relay installed in the rear of vehicle.
What would be a minimum requirement ? Have LPG gas tank fitted, so only running the 12 v TV on a night and ThetfordFridge and 12 v lights. Can anyone recommend an installer around the Teesside area. Regards
Darrell

when it comes to installation costs not a lot of differences between large & small manufacturers quote max output but on a normal day day in england rarely achieved , might i suggest having a word with david ( wildebus) on here he lives relatively near you in the borders and could provide and fit whatever you need look on wildebus website

Do it once and right, i have the same setup as you, I'm running 200w and a votronic mppt regulator which has a 1amp bleed to the starter battery.

Thetford do two types of fridge, 3 way and compressor, the 12v power requirements are very different.

I got quoted £1200.00 for rack only for what I wanted so design my own out of aluminium tube. 280watt now designed for750 watts but could take 1000w

Of pannles up there. on my darling bambi I just stuck corner cups for the 80w pannle on to the flat roof, but that only done 60mph down hill.

3 questions
Usage in winter is the the van used and to what extent are your rational to your batteries. Ie can you last for 3 days in December while wildingcamping. With out solar. If not battery's first
Will you be fitting the awning to the rack ?
Are you sure a b2b wouldn't be better money, as the system is just that. mine has all 4 now plus tilts both sides
it took me 12months saving upand getting the best deals.
The roof cost over £ 2500 holes poles and electricity don't forget the wire like I did. Next £100.
I now have all the tools also. Another pound of flesh. Lol
When tilted in new year meet 1 amp turned to 8amps could have been better, if not for the peskey cornish flag. Lol Thanks Dave ! Lol
