That will make all the difference mate Quality costs but you get reliability and confidence of actually having enough power for the vehicle.

Our previous Frankia (2011) was a 3l Merc automatic which I loved. However the newer Hymer (2018), also a Merc,is a 2.2l auto which seems to me much quicker and smoother than the 3l. Maybe newer technology.
Best thing about the Merc base is that they (used to) come with RWD which I much prefer for a motorhome. Far better traction, especially on wet gras.
