Why can I only get them on the Title line and not in my main text, I note others can do it so why not me.

Have you checked the tick box in the additional options.

( disable smilies in text ).

Also missing is tool bar and the top right hand corner.

hi don I think I know the problem here

try this

click on user cp then edit options then scroll to the bottom
the message editor interface should say basic editor
change it to standard editor

ps remember to save changes
