Looking at the possiblity of fitting an extra large skylight to the roof of the motorhome to give some extra light. I concidered fitting another window but it's not possible. Anybody any experience in fitting these, or know where to get them at a reasonable cost? Can be fixed as there is no need to open, it's just for light.

Plenty here
I've never fitted one but my instinct is to be careful as you are messing with the integral strength of the roof and I would guess this could affect the whole hab shell if done wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me if this is wrong :)

I,ve located the stengthening ribs and I think that its possible to fit without touching these. But I take your point and will proceed with caution. I am happy to make and mend with boats, but in the short time Ive had with motorhomes I realise that they are a completly different animal. All info gratefuly recieved.:)

Hi, Murvi fit a large Heiki in the Ducato high top, long wheel base van. I have one, so it is possible without compromising the basic roof strength. What base vehicle have you got?

Its a Challenger mageo 123 coachbuilt. I believe its marketed in the UK as a Chausson.
