We were thinking to buy a digital radio for use abroad but then thought maybe not everywhere is transmitting digitally.

We are looking to go to Bulgaria and Croatia and what was Yugoslavia. Would we pick up any digital stations there or would be better taking the old wind up analogue radio??

We have had a 30 year old radio with long wave at our place in France for over 20 years.

Now that long wave transmission is coming to an end ( The BBC has only got two valves left & when they burn out - thats it.)

I will need a suitable replacement to pick up the same programmes, any ideas.

Dezi :pc:

We found that we had to revert to analogue tv in Poland, C. Republic & Sloakia, if that is any indication of availability of digital

Best of luck I can't get DAB to work in the house, tried but ended up taking the thing back to the shop, they said it would work with an aerial on the roof, but it was a portable. FM for ever!!!!!!
