When VAT was temporarily reduced to 15%, the Chancellor added 2% duty to fuel to offset the reduction in tax collected from motorists. Now that VAT has been increased to 17.5% again this hidden tax has not been removed - hence recent rises in your fuel costs. Sign the petition at the link below to have this stealth tax removed!

set of thieving *******s...!!!....I just hope that the twats that nicked our money paying mortgages they didnt have come a cropper in march and immunity to prosecution is removed...grrr:mad:

Fuel tax is the one tax that pisses me off more than any other,bloody stealth taxes.I would rather be taxed out of my earnings more than have these sneaky gutter taxes.At least that would be honest,but then again politicians are hardly that are they.:mad:

until all motorists make a stand together and not just,say, the truckers, the government(who by the way we elected to screw us) will continue to rake in extra revenue via fuel.

but alas!, i fear i will never see the true british spirit of standing together again!.:(
