We paid our 40 quid and got to Shrewsbury on Friday Evening before the gates shut and spent two nights at the show ground.
Obviously lots of motorhomes ranging from the large to the small and fith wheelers too.
Not many visitors it seemed, although the main reason we went was to purchase a set of wind blockers from the Lillypad leisure stall. We parted with almost £200 (needed a jumbo set with a 4.8m front blocker) and left with two end panels and a front panel to be sent later, we tried them for fit and satisfied we sat down outside our 'van and listened to someones bleedin generator!!!! This guy, who had a huge coach size 'home' with a slide out sides could actually switch his generator on with a remote key fob!!!
I apologise for moaning if this guy needed the generator for medical reasons (as he was wheelchair bound) but bleedin 'eck, the genny was on almost all bleedin day!!!!
Thankfully he did not have it on at night, but after this weekend, I certainly won't be considering one after knowing just how annoying it is for everyone else!!!!!
We took our cycles and cycled into Shrewsbury...what a lovely place, with so many old buildings. I was sure that the building company I work for had been there before as the houses all seemed on the 'cock', with some windows obviously made on the slant!! A beautiful town with a picturesque river (The Severn) running through it.
Not a bad show overall, we enjoyed the entertainment on the Saturday evening, even if the band were slightly out of tune........ I couldn't have done better though!
