Show Curtain or cling film?

Generally, I think my Hobby MH is great, but dread the shower. Not that I am one of the great unwashed, but the shower doubles in the wash room / loo and sticks like cling film when you have a shower. Its awful. Has anyone solved this problem or have other ideas?

Cheers

Shower curtain.

Try to find one that does not retain static elec. That's what attracts it to you

In the past I have changed the shower curtains for a slightly longer fabric type and used velcro to stick them to the bathroom walls, quite successfull, stops a lot of the clinging.

Happy Camping:)

Thats a fan-bloody-tastic idea :D

A cure for 'sticky' shower curtains, if you have an extractor fan in the shower, is to set it to 'in' instead of 'out'.

Not so good in the winter though - too cold!

We use velcro - works well.

The funny thing is that our previous van had a curtain and it did not cling to us at all, giving us more elbow room  Our present van has a glass type door and this restricts our elbow room slightly:(

Yes we saw some of these and decided that they were impracticable for anyone over 5' tall. We lik the wet room now, you can have a wet shave and splash as much as you like :)

Some new things in vans like fixed beds seem to be more for looking at in a showroom but when it comes to actually using them they are impracticable. Again all the fixed beds I have seen are so short as to be unusable. I guess a lot of recently retired people who have never had a van look at them and see them as being as close to being at home as possible so they sell to the money. Sorry guys ;)

I still keep in my mind that motor homes are just a better way to go camping but its still camping so you need to make some sacrifices.

I am 6 foot and don't really have a problem with either the shower or fixed bed

I did not say you did, Its not all about you ;)

How long is the fixed bed you got? I never found one that was longer than 6' which meant I was squashed up, I'm 6'4'', they also seemed to have a locker at the bottom so I could not hang my legs over. I guess yours is either longer or maybe you don't mind cold feet. I've grown up with a hate of having to hang my feet over, beds with ends are a real no no.

Our fixed bed is king size. The overcab is bigger again and if we drop the dinette table there is another super king size bed.

Did I mention the 9 hole golf course in the garage? Sorry AJ the course is fully booked. :p
