going away september, heading south would like to go to stonehenge, and the exe estuary any sites will be greatfully recieved.

I have seen vans parked up on the lane just past stonehenge, real easy to find, come off main road, drive past the main car park and it's along on your left.

I've parked up there in the car on an early morning and seen MH parked up-but not sure if there are any "no overnight" signs.

I think the place is good, but a little over rated? and well over priced.

Space in the main car park for MH's.

Stonehenge overnight

Yes, we have used the lane by Stonehenge several times this year. No problems at all. Always more than one motorhome staying overnight. Very quiet considering the A303 close by and a great view of the stones! Beautiful sunset last time we were there at the end of July.
Skywalker.

last year i stopped in a layby near powderham church ,off the A379 to starcross, turn left at the sign for Powderham church and s.y.c. only 1 3/4 miles, just follow the road untill you come to the train line and river at the bend,(the odd train went by but not to bad), also further down the road there is another layby by the yatch club, but keep to the end away from the club entance under the bridge. (again trains untill late but not to bad). This is the same train line as the one at the dawlish overnight stop.
