About three years ago I was parked in a layby,I'd taken the dog for a walk and when I returned found a note on the windscreen from a couple wanting to know if I was willing to sell them my Merc. I got in touch and said I wasn't selling at that time, since then I've had a yearly text asking if I was ready to sell. I'm now ready to sell it so I dropped them a text giving them first refusal...well I can't believe how excited they are at coming to view it this weekend,so fingers crossed they'll take it off my hands and save me the hassle of eBay. I really don't understand why they've waited this long,Mercs do come up for sale fairly regularly, but they seem to have their heart set on mine, very strange.

Ooh, it's like a plot from a crime movie...
With detectives hot on their heels, a couple of elusive international diamond thieves conceal the haul from a daring heist in a parked vehicle and make their escape. Being otherwise thoroughly charming good eggs and pacifists, not given to strong-arm tactics, our anti-heroes try for 3 years to buy the car from the innocent dog walker who owns it. Finally, their patience pays dividends. Cue a champagne celebration aboard a private jet on route to a paradise destination. Fade to detectives still scratching their heads with grudging admiration... roll credits

You’ve certainly got a vivid imagination Jennie haha:lol-061: 🤔

Perhaps the number plate matches their initials, or something similar. So it’s really the number plate rather than the Merc that they are after.

Superb film, thanks. Going to "watch" it again. :)

After they looked it over yesterday I wasn't so confident they'd buy it,she loved it...he said "how old!!", and said they'd ring me.
It really came down to who wears the pants in that household,it appears she does lol.
Anyway im over the moon,it saved me a load of hassle as im back to work next week:(

Wait till he finds out how much the spares are .. That's if you can get them .. And what about the Crit Aire Sticker .. :)

Hope they have fun .. How old is the old girl or is that a secret ..

Spares are dirt cheap and readily available,a couple of examples, new wing £70,entire exhaust including delivery just under £90,thats with two mufflers... I've not come across anything unavailable yet.
It's a 1985 model.

more difficult to get spares for a Sevel van 10 years newer
