Seeking Bike Carrier advice...

Hi,

I am looking to fit a bike carrier on my Ducatio Motorhome.

Any recommendations for 2-3 Bike Carrier?

How easy to fit, a little cautious about drilling into the body of 1991 van.

My local motorhome emporium quoted me an astronomical sum for supply and fitting. Ebay seems to have some carriers for 120 - 160 pounds.

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave,

If you give us a ring with your full van details we can advise you more fully

Peter

We recently fitted one our Kontiki, we fitted one to the tow bar as its much easier to get the bikes on and off from this height. Of course if you don't have a tow bar thats a problem :D

If you aren't fitting a tow bar bike rack, one thing to think about is whether the rack will obscure the rear window (if you have one). We have a Swift Sundance 590 RL and in our last van (same model) the bike rack was below the window; in the new one the vertical bars are fixed above and below the window and you see them when you are looking out. It can get in the way of the view, so if that's important to you, get one that fixes below the window.
