Hi one and all, just travelled down to Spain from the UK(we live out here). we overnighted on the E15/AP7 at the second services beyond Barcelona on the peage motorway, 4 other motorhomes their also. One of the German motorhomes was entered via the living area door and a handbag stolen from a cupboard inside, whilst the elderley couple slept, inches away. the lady was awakened as she heard a noise , but too late to stop her bag with passports, credit cards and cash from being stolen. The couple even went to the trouble of tying the drivers and passenger doors together and parked under a spotlight adjacent to another motorhome. Luckilly no one was attacked, but I felt SOOO sorry for this couple, left with no passport, no credit cards and only 23 euros in cash, I insisted they take 50 euro's off me to enable them to re fuel and pay the toll, which they did reluctantly(I gave them my address to re fund as and when they were sorted). So just be extra vigilant and tie your van door to a secure position in your van!!!! I just wonder if the fact that my motorhome has a Spanish plate saved me from being robbed??? Jim
