Try the Charity shops, I have seen them in there or maybe hire one ?????????:):)

running out of charity shops to try :)but still pursuing other avenues keer the ideas coming thanks:D:D:D

do you have the freecycle groups in your area? if so put a wanted post on there... it's amazing the stuff that gets offered, asked for and supplied on there! Just do a google search for freecycle, basicly folks list stuff they don't want any more but is too good to be tippped, and it's all free :D so far this year I've been given a two ring gas stove, a tent heater, a space heater, several sleeping bags, cat food, a bedside cabinet, 2 rather posh camp beds, and a pair of wellington boots with flowers on :D:D:D

good luck in your search for the perfect jacket:)

I joined the local group to get rid of some stuff I had no further use for and that was too good to dump. I'm flabbergasted by some of the things that people ask for.
At one end of the scale you get people asking for things they could get in a shop for coppers - like pencils (would you believe?) to the other end where you get "has anybody got a Sony digital 32" LCD TV with freeview they aren't using? must be in working order and I would prefer a black one"

Half of them never bother to use "please" or "thank you" particularly the ones asking for expensive stuff.

The ones with no thanks and expensive items
are usually the ones that sell the items out onto gumtree etc..
saying that we have had one or two pieces gratefully
received. The system up here has now been renamed
Freegle but still a great system.

it's always best to be polite - the odd thing i've given away has been to the politest emailer! manners cost nothing after all...

there's someone on my local freecycle site who is asking for a blooming car with tax and test:eek::eek:

i nearly got a tandem bike last week but it had already gone when i'd emailed:mad:

it is good though i've made a few good friends who now email me first if they have any camping gear to give away, which has almost kitted out a family of six to join me on weekends away, great stuff:D

I saw one post on our local FREECYCLE which said, I will not give this item to anyone who says that their Daughter has Cancer, their husband has just died ,their dog is blind, they are about to be evicted etc.etc. so you can see some requests for items must be like begging letters.:mad::mad:

Freecycle

What is the point of 'thank you', the idea is to dispose of items you no longer want rather than throw them away!

I have been using it for 18 months, disposing of items that are in the way and glad to get rid of them.

I could not careless for thanks, it's about recycling useful items, surely that's more important that a joke throw back of 'Victorian' values that are well past there sell by date!
