seatbelts?

Am looking at buying my first campervan, have always had a caravan before but want to go wild camping in Europe this winter so am taking the plunge. Am puzzled by how few seatbelts are fitted in motorhomes and have been told different laws, can anyone help me to find out if it's illegal to fit a seatbelt to side settees, as the campervan I like best has a rear lounge but no belts fitted. Any other tips on choosing a van would be much appreciated. It's only for 2 of us to camp with, but will need to use it in UK as day vehicle so want more seatbelts for passengers. Thanks,Sue

Hi sujam,
welcome to the site. This as been discussed on several occaisions in the forums, but I think all forward facing seats must have seat belts fitted.
