Anybody Know of a good spot on the N Norfolk to Lincolnshire coast to park up and do a bit of sea fishing at this time of year. With a chance of catching more than the flu that is:D

Alan and Sue,
Many thanks for the reply. I'm a sea fishing virgin, Have got a rod and reel and thats it so do you know if they are a good place to start at this time of year. I do know a lot of the local coast is a bit shallow to catch much more crabs.:)

We always used to go to Weybourne near Cromer, this is where some of the deepest water is, but I do believe there is an overhead barrier so no good for campervans. The road down to the sea is just by a military museum. Cromer pier is another good place.

We are off to Thornham and Hunstanton Tuesday for a couple of days or so just to see if wife and I and all four kids still can fit in the van overnight! lol Look out for a Talbot Express. Cheers!

Hi Campervanman
Weybourne near Cromer sounds good. I may well be passing Sunny Hunny on tuesday so if a boxer van conversion flashes you its me looking for a warm pub and a cold beer.:D

Hi Tbear, you could try Huttoft Car Terrace, in between Anderby Creek and Sandilands / Sutton-on-sea, Lincs.

It's a very popular weekend stopover for motorhomers and there's always loads of beach fishermen there at weekends, the parking is right on the beach and its free.

I don't fish but its a nice place to just chill for a couple of days, and the bright lights of Skegness are'nt far away if you've got kids!!!

Hi Randonneur,

Had a smashing time a few years ago at Sutton on sea when we where tent campers so a trip back sounds good and if I can catch a free breakfast so much the better. Many thanks for the tip.

Hi Tbear
As randonneur as said huttoft car terrace is good spot also if you have a bait pump at low water there are some very good lug worm to be had ( there like snakes at least they where last year when i got them) best of luck

Keith,

Bait Pump:confused: I did say I was new to this, I have not got the rod wet yet. Many years ago I was a keen fresh water angler then they stopped you eating your catch. Put a nice tasty Trout back? What planet are they on.:)

Thanks for your post
Richard
