Front page headline in today's paper.
"Travellers get green light to set up anywhere in Scotland as SNP rules that eviction could breach their human rights." Goes on to say "Gipsies are to be given legal permission to set up campsites anywhere in Scotland - without fear of police interference."

"Stewart Stevenson, SNP Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Climate Change, has now decreed that gipsies must be allowed to set up home wherever they choose - even if there camps pose a risk to public health or the environment."

Hmm!! Could this be a way round "No overnight parking" signs?? My human right to park where I want to just like them.

Generally when you get headline like this on and you investigate further it's not the whole story. But I.ll see what's online.

yipeeeee:D:D:D i hope it's true the hundreds we have camped round donny may emigrate:rolleyes:

I tried to find it on line before posting but couldn't get anything for the Scottish edition only the Daily Mail. Would be interested if you do find anything.

No I haven't. What you find with type of story that the editor was somebody called Phil Space, because they've big papers to fill!

If this is true it's great news. Even better news would be if the same thing happened in England!
A way to facilitate new legislation around the freedom to wild camp is to encourage county councils to meet their legal obligations in providing permanent Gypsy sites around the country.

When, wild camping just tell any authorities your Gypsies and there have to leave you alone.

Great stuff, my wife is an irish traveller so thats good.

Lets now have it hear in England & Wales.
