hi just got back from a trip to the homeland. toured round the north west highlands for 10 nights of wild camping including a couple of days at glenshee for skiing with the propex working overtime . BUT WORD OF WARNING FOR SUSPENSION AND TYRES the roads are bloody horrendous in places with massive potholes with the a87 being really bad the roads dept got some work to do !

Think thats the same everywhere, a lot of our potholes have got potholes :(

Here in Renfrewshire I think that we can claim the UKs worst road surfaces. They were riddled with large potholes before the recent snow, but are far worse now than many in African cities. Another problem we have is that the potholes are often filled with water and therefore very difficult to spot.

just look out of my window there is a gert big one and one hundred yard up th e road from there

The roads are in a terrible state at the moment. The A9 has some huge potholes that your on before you see them. The council throw up a couple of Uneven Road Surface signs and make a shoddy attempt at filling the holes. Mot last month was two rear coil springs which I blame on the state of the roads.

Yes we have just got back from our tour of Scotland and the Hebrides and it's the same on the islands too I think they are left on purpose to slow down the influx of MHs lol.

Last year the road from Applecross back to the Bealach na Bà was downright dangerous :scared:

They`re fast enough to promote the NC500 and rake in all the extra money that it has generated but not so fast at putting some of that money back into the road infrastructure :mad2:

If one must go to these uncivilized countries then bad roads must be expected :lol-049:
That being said I do love Scotland

In this country we drive on the left of the road, now we drive on what is left of the road.
