Had a lovely trip following East coast around to Inverness, met some lovely wild camp bubbies, long may it last. Only one problem when we were heading back we decided to go around the St Andrews coast and arrived at Kirkcaldy, it was a lorry carpark by the sea, not too good, do not advise we should of gone on to Burntisland.

Hello again you two.

I have already advised canalsman that I think the Burntisland wilding spot will have a 'no overnighting' sign just like every car park, layby and farmers field in Fife. We thought of giving that one a try but thought we would just be wasting diesel.

BTW, I spoke to my Osteopath about the Mrs. Sheila does not normally take on new customers but will make an exception in your case. Just proves that I can be a right charmer when I want to be.

Glad you had a good trip.

I live in Burntisland and there wasn't any NOP sign at the car park last week. If ever there is one, I'll put a post on here - but there is another big lorry park (unused virtually all year) just before the swimming pool - not such a nice view, but useful as a fall back. There's also the car park on the links (the park) and another at the west end of the high street; just before the railway bridge. However - I have been hearing information about a young woman who has been very badly burned there from what seems to be some sort of chemical - they're apparently still investigating but think it may be the remains of giant hogweed. So avoid for now.

Thanks for the info Jo. I have got to say that we were pretty disappointed in the rest of that part of Scotland. I do not mind ignoring some of the no overnighting signs in the quiet times of the year but it does make a lot of no go areas in the Summer.

Got a lot going on at the moment, just had the camera down etc so have not had time to contact her. We were hoping to get away again in the next week.
