Hull ....Rotterdam is a fantastic crossing, I hate boats but even in a force 10 it was a better crossing than I have ever had over the channel.
Limited competition on the hull....Rotterdam,zeebrugge route so case of biting the bullet.
That said to appease your tight like Scottish ways look at the journey as part of the holiday.....cerftainly plenty on board to keep you occupied.
