Hi did scotland few months ago ,plenty of places to stop all round. We did gretna green, dunbarton ,luss, fort william, loch gary across isle of skye, back to loch ness to fort william across to stirling castle falkirk wheel, edingburgh castle ,gretna and home.Fort william you can fill with water in morrisons petrol garage, but we also so asked on several sites and they let us fill and empty for couple of pounds. No problems go and enjoy, fantastic scenery and good wild camping.

Hiya mikejay couple of great places to stay in the Dumfries area. Look at my posts for Caerlaverock and New Abbey. Castle at Caerlaverock and walks in woods and merse loads of wildlife would suit the kids. New Abbey has walks, pubs and a bit further up the coast is Southerness and Sandyhills great beaches. Hope you have a great time.Beautiful area. Jen

Its lovely up the mull of Galloway in fact right up that coast is nice and plenty places to park up.We take off up that way for a quiet weekend.
