Scotland Aires

I've got insider news of a possible new site in North Northumberland from an old customer of ours.
He's a farmer with plenty of land and not far from Bamburgh and Holy Island.

Phoned us last week asking about some advice on a business idea and a domain name he's had registered with us for donkey's years and never used.

It's called "love camping hate campsites".

I may have strongly hinted at a few possibilities. ;) 😇
He's now revved up and got lots of food for thought.
He will be getting back to us, so keep fingers crossed .... ;)
If he does go ahead then hopefully us wild campers will be getting first dibs(y):)

Quite a few other aires mentioned in the article too.

There is already Aires on the POI map but none of these are in the UK. I realise that it is not a trivial task but it would be great if we could get UK aires added too.

I'm sure Phil will do that - when there's enough of them to make it worthwhile, perhaps?
Here's hoping more areas in the UK get on board (y)

I like the idea that they are asking private land owners to try and set something up. Ok these private ones will come at a a price but don’t think anything like the campsites were charging last year.

if the aires are chargeable even a nominal fee the traveller problem is altered instead of refusing to move they are stealing services no longer a civil crime , i have donated twice to the group that were /are providing toilet facilities looked promising in the summer but withcivid that appears to have stopped ?
