Scary Roundabouts

Today I had the need for a rest from driving I parked next to a roundabout
Watching the traffic go by I noticed that around 80% of drivers did not even use there indicators at all.
And if they did they were indicating as if to turn right when they intended to go straight on .
Is this the new right turn signal on a roundabout?
And around 30% made no attempt to slow down or give way at all
Being a pedestrian for half an hour it was quite scary to watch.

If you really want to be amazed then park up by a Spanish roundabout.I have seen them go around the wrong way and even straight over them.

ah yes been there seen that
when we stayed on a camp last year we went on a day trip to barcelona the wife wanted to visit the football stadium god knows why .
the coach driver was terible bumping over kerbs and roundabouts braking at the last moment taking shortcuts through local village roads so he could pocket the peage money
still that is part of the spanish experiance

i have never been abroad BUT italian driving must be the scariest about i have seen on tv that if they cannot drive on the road they use the pavement :D also as my wife is of italian decent we have family over there and they tell the same story drive how and where and as they want

Hia
nearer to home is our local one at STOCKPORT christened the magic roundabout.
Lost count how many sets of lights are on it, how many signs up in the air all over, I think there are 6 exits and entrances onto it
It's great locals seem to use as they would like to use it not many accidents though
If you don't know where your going there is no limit to how many times you can go around it We don't charge :confused::D:D;);)

Oh I nearly forgot we have a bus lane going through it :rolleyes:

Mandrake, that one was brilliant! :D :D Did you spot the other one about the Barnsley lad  doing 176mph on his way to Manchester??  NOT on the motorway!!  JIM>

Years ago (1970s) before the French got rid of the give way to the right rule on roundabouts, I sat in traffic on a French roundabout, on a motorway for about two hours waiting for the grid lock to be resolved by a couple of whistle blowing gendarmes. I used to love that rule - you could enter the roundabout (on the motorway??) at 130kph but then had to stop for someone else doing the same thing on the next entrance. You could live life on the edge back then!!!

The roundabout was a novel invention on a motorway back then, one I've not seen since.

Magic roundabout
(I dare not to mention it, but it is in Britain near Hemel Hempstead.)
I get an headache only looking at it :D
