i was i scarborough on sat and there was lots of vans on north bay. and there was two vans over nighting on lifeboat car park i spoke to owner and he told me he had parked there before no probs from wardens or police for being there, son in law told me he saw motor homers having a bbq last week along marine drive last week near oasis cafe. he was fishing near by and said they were having a good time. so i seems they might be having second thought about motor homes wilding on front for now. :)

visiting scarborough next weekend will look it up, thanks.

Scarborough /BBQ.S

Hi
We stayed over two nights on marine drive recently with no probs n great weather.Met up with a few people off this site.I dont agree with setting up BBQ.S as this will really wind up the cafe owners who dont want smoke blowing over their customers and end up with complaints to the council. Thus getting motorhomes banned .If the winds blowing offshore have a bbq on the beach.Rant over.

Regards terry

scarborough sea life centre

there for a few days last week, parked on marine drive trough the day,lot of boy racers about 9/10 oclock.Went and parked at sealife centre few other vans parked.Sprog and dog friendly pub Scalby Mills only yards away

scarborogh

We stayed on marine drive 2 nights.boy racers goin past till midnight. then a couple of them drove past at 2.30 am blasting their horns at the five campervans parked up.The rest of them didnt bother us and seemed content looking at each others cars and having a chat.On some campsites you get much more noise this time of year. Will have to try the sealife carpark next time .I have never parked up at the pumping station near the harbour after a fellow wild camper said it stinks like a sewage works. Is this fact or fiction?

regards terry

have stayed there a couple of times not noticed a smell, but the seagulls on the cliffs make up for any smells:eek:from the crack of dawn:D,when we park on marine drive we park in the middle of the long straight the boy races are that bizzy seeing how fast they are going they forget to pip:rolleyes::D
