regarding the marine drive did any vans stay all night do you know, as the last time we were at scarborough we noticed no overnighting allowed which is a shame as we used to have a v dub splitty in the 70s and used to stay there then as no one bothered then. so now we stay on the sea life car park north bay

Honda Davidsons

Them Harley's were Honda Goldwings :D

I drove down Marine Drive at 11pm and 4 camper vans had 'jimjams' on.

I had just returned from Whitby and 4 or so vans were using the long car park behind Co-op.

Hiya,Jeff, what do you reckon about wilding there next weekend cos their should be thousands of mountainbike spectators in town for the nightride, I suspected they would be full up so booked into a cheap and cheerfull campsite a couple of miles to the North:cool:

Lenny,
Not sure if you will get any bother from camping on Marine drive. It says 'no camping' but not top of the offenders list for the 'fuzz'.
Scarborough have some traffic wardens on nights now so maybe they will send you to jail :D

No signs bout no camping at Sea Life carpark (yet)!

sorry got the name wrong . i dont no if any stayed over night we left at 7 . but have seen them there whilst night fishing .also seen them on sea life centre .going there one night to fish and stay the night supposed to be decent for cod.

Camped overnight on Friday and Saturday next to the water works on Marine Drive. It was a bit noisy untill about 11pm but no problems whatsoever.
Woke up on Saturday morning to the most glorious sun rise.
Free parking from 6pm untill 9am.
£6 from 9am untill 6pm.
Enjoy.

shame on you r a blenkinsop

For being such a naughty person I think that this weekend you should be made to go and visit 'Eddie Wrights' Harley Dealership (if its still called that) in Leeds to see the difference between a Harley and any other bike. The exhaust note should have given it away.

Only joking, from a Harley owner.

As for Scarborough/Whitby etc, will I get away with wilding in a coachbuilt, I always feel that it is not as discrete as a van conversion/self build.

i do apologise. again i no the bike shop in question . my son used to go there to look at the bikes it was his dream to own one one day . but alas that wont happen he was killed in a R T A in leeds last april on his bike on A 64he died at the scene.
