We arrived at Scarborough North Bay at about 2030hrs, to an already busy Sealife car park, quite a few vans already parked up and we found a spot with a bit of a view and promptly locked up and went to the Old Scalby Mill pub on the corner. We expected it to rain but it held off allowing us a short walk after an excellent meal and a drink.
On Saturday morning we bought a day parking ticket (£9) and decided we would not take full weather kit to walk into town, (a good decision :) ) cutting across the sandy bay as the tide was well out, but the steps had a small pool at the bottom causing her indoors to have to clamber up the rocks. We walked along past the fishing dock and over to the Clock Café, where the hillside has collapsed taking with it the bathing huts.
On the way back we stopped at the fishing docks and filmed a rat take our bait of peanut butter and Marmite fudge :) .. he didn't throw it back at us so must be partial to it :)
Saturday night we had visitors to the car park, some lads in a car(s) who parked centrally to several motorhomes and proceeded to play very loud music and shout mainly. I thought that they may have chosen their location to cause maximum aggravation with the motorhomers, but it could just be kids enjoying themselves. Anyway, they drove off around 2300hrs, so all went quiet, until later on when the rain pelted down on the roof of the van.
We left in the morning and drove to Filey for breakfast at a place called Glen Gardens Café, for a very nice All day Breakfast. We had parked in a residential area, as we could not find a car park, but realised after we entered Glen Gardens Café that a large car park is not far from Glen Gardens. The weather in Filey was a bit overcast and windy but it did not stop us having a wander around, before a drive back to Sheffield.
Altogether a decent weekend, but probably not for the 10km race that was happening on the Sunday :(

I would like to have posted a couple of videos, but when attempted I got "the uploaded file does not have an allowed extension"
Can we not post video content?
