My mate was going to stay there last weekend..He said there were signs up saying no camping.

Well, what does "no camping" mean. You are not necessarily "camping" in a motorhome.

1. A place where tents, huts, etc are set up, as by soldiers, nomads, or travelers.
2. A cabin or shelter or group of such buildings: gathered branches and grasses for a makeshift camp; had a fishing camp in Vermont.
3. The people using such shelters: a howl that awakened the whole camp.

Camping implies tents and huts. All you are doing is parking. Just ignore the notices and leave early. Simple.

In terms of a parking order, "No camping" means whatever the definition is in the order. It normally places restrictions on sleeping and/or eating. Parking, on the other hand, usually has a definition which means something like driving the vehicle into a bay, leaving it unoccupied and returning to drive away later.

This allows councils to differentiate between people who might stop for a quick meal/nap as a break in a long journey and those who wish to use their van for eating/sleeping overnight for several hours.

People who ignore such signs might get away with it but it is worth remembering that when too many people did that in the Fylde Council area the result was a ban (since rescinded) on all motorhome parking in council car parks - not, I should have thought, a situation which anyone on this list would wish to be the cause of.
