Thanks Gary, the only good news is if you're a foot passenger it's free or if you take your bike then it's 60p so if you do drive round and then realise you've forgotten something; it's not too dear to go & fetch it!

It seems that it's now 'pot luck'. Apparently there is now 'overnighting' on the roadside though I've read somewhere of people parking up ok and others waking to a parking fine slapped on the windscreen.
