Hi im off to royan and then up the coast for 2 weeks in 2 weeks time been to royan before but not up coast will be on aires mainly on coast is there any do not miss places any one know about thanks for any info cheers stubby

On the Ile d'Oleron (no toll) there is a large free Aire with Flot Bleu at La Bree-les-Bains not far from the beach

St Sornin

Hi Stubby, we visit a lovely little family-run campsite, called Le Valerick, in the village of St Sornin, close to Royan. It's about 10 euros a night and it's great for just chilling out for a few days when you've been moving from aire to aire. No pool or bar etc so lovely and quiet. The view is over sunflower fields, where storks can be seen nesting.

Hi stubby.Try this one 46.11302, -1.12319 it's right on the beach just below Aytre some amazing sunsets to be seen from there.Campsite near if you should need it.
