Roughing it in the snow

I don't think so... used Brownhills 'Aire' overnight on Saturday, to venture into Newark and check out a possible 'downsized' van. Hooked up to 240v, van heating on and a back up oil filled radiator 'just in case'.
A really cosy night watching the snow come down after a walk into Newark on the Saturday. Up late on Sunday, a swim in their pool and Jacuzzi, and then a stroll round the large number of vans looking for a shorter van.
Could only find two (second hand) that fitted our spec.... an Amethyst Gem and an Avondale. The Amethyst Gem seemed to be just what we want.
Has anyone got one on here that can give us further info on?
Anyway, it was a nice break and the van behaved itself impeccably.:bow:

Since Brownhills Preston (formerly Hymer UK) closed I will be going to Newark for servicing and any repairs. I t was interesting to hear of your stay at the aire. How far is Newark on foot or is there a bus service in?
I am going there in June for the hab check en route to Norfolk.
