Suspicions of a leak arose on our Scottish trip this year when we had a couple of drips from a ceiling light so today had a chance to tackle it.

Thos is the junction of the front moulding and the side/top joint. Water puddles here. I have had suspicions for a while but checking with a damp meter it was time for action

THe old screws were 3mm x 32mm stainless.
Screwfix does 3.5 mm x32mm stainless which were about right as a fix

Cleaning the old smag off was a pain. At the end of the day it always seems to come down to rolling it off with your fingers

Thankfully the wood frame was good. Caught in good time before water ingress caused a problem

Smagged it all back up and re fitted seal and ally moulding. Smagged all the screw holes first. One of those jobs , took all day, got everthing good and clean, all the screws bit, everything up good and tight, masked up to keep smag lines neat, happy with result.
17 yr old motorhome, still in tip top condition. Tomorrow to fit new screw cover trim (herzim) trim from seals direct. . Means removing rear light clusters but hey ho.
