until we see some heavy prison sentances handed out for this so called cyber crime it will keep on growing .it is seen as a victimless crime , my own debit card details were used to buy a 2000 quid computer i had absolute proof who did it but the bank did nothing and the police were not interested they just reimbursed me .but if i held the bank up with a banana in a paper bag id do a ten stretch

That's awful, Chrissy!

I was conned on Ebay once to the tune of £84.00. Fortunately I got most of it back. But I know how you feel.

Can anyone tell me when all the enhanced security measures around buying on line are going to happen? Seems like it's getting worse. Almost every other day I hear friends, etc. suffering this kind of thing.

update

hi yall

just to update you, me and my girls still went to the concert just on the offchance that the tickets were there, there was hundreds of very disapointed people and devestated kids too, it was heartwrenching, these mindless evil people had emailed some of these families and told them to collect the tickets at the venue, some had travelled from glasgow with their kids only to find the tickets dont exist, theres no words to describe these people, anyroad, we managed to purchase 3 more tickets from the box office and we had a fantastic night, what a performance those boys put on, and james morrison, oh my god, he was fab, so please please please, spread the word to all you know, and only purchase from well know reputable companies

Hi

unfortunately theres nothing anyone can do, the advice i got from the consumer direct was, if you are going to make a purchase on line, google the company name and look for any forums, unfortunatley i didnt do this first or i would have see all the bad reports of book me tickets, there is an entire forum discussion about this company, and also any purchases made outsid the UK are not covered by our trading standards law and any small claims you make have to be made in their country and this is why they do it, buyer be ware springs to mind
