the van is loaded up got a long journey to Loch Lomond (30 mins) and then decisions, decisions.
Do we go North, (Fort William) North West, (Oban and beyond) South West, (Campbeltown) East, (Fife and Aberdeenshire) or just float about the centre wilding it for a few days.
OH! life is hard nowadays.
Where is everyone else going tomorrow?

(Have alook at the weather forecast!)

Thanks Lenny!

I'll try and think of you, maybe!!!!

OH looking at map just now thinking of new places to try.

So far she has only mentioned English places!!!!!!!!!

I think I better adjust her Brainwashing cap before we retire for the night.

Only kidding, we had a brilliant time in the Lake District last year.

Sounds absolutely idyllic - we were planning to go down South but are now thinking Scotland would be better for the wild camping :)

chrissy we done 2 weeks in scotland last year & loved it so much so we are going back this year.
if you want peace & quiet & to get away from it all it is the ideal place.

Scotland it is

I'm pretty much convinced it is going to be Scotland - we're thinking last week in June first in July ish. Would really appreciate you divulging / sharing your routes to give us a clue ;) and then we could either use one of yours entirely or do a bit of mix and match.
Cheers :)

Hi Chrissy

i have just got back from my first experience of the Hebrides, there are plenty of wild spots, take your pick, hardly any traffic, lovely smooth roads and great folks, if you get up to lochcarron theres a fab spot right on the hillside, where you have views both directions, theres picnic tables and very friendly little robins come to say hello, i'm sure there are thousand s of other places, you wont be dissapointed, enjoy, i'm so jealous

No worries...we're off up there on 22nd so the weather has been booked:)...sunshine, warmth and just enough breeze to keep the early midges down...actually, two years ago on Skye the heat was so great we battled to keep the dogs cool. You can strike it lucky in May - but who knows?

How shall we all recognise each other - rolled up umbrella taped to the bonnet?:D

Whatever you decide, enjoy!

Well!, just got back.
(Gonnae rain ra morra see).
We just tootled round the Scottish West Coast.
Must have stolen someone's favourite spot because I found this little place opposite a beach on the Sound of Jura.
It was a little back from the road and screened by some tres and 10 metres from a little waterfall where I topped up my water tank for washing etc etc.
I was only there 1/2 an hour when a little VW tried to pull into the same place.
(Only enough room for 1 van).
Had a very quiet night where we built a fire on the beach and had a wee dram or 2.
Had another night wilding at/near Skipness and watched the Ferry go back and forth between Rockfield and Lochranza on Arran.
Waking up every morning to a different Scottish View, what else could you ask for?
Mind you, there are an AWFUL lot of MHs' on Scottish roads now.
I'll post a couple of photos later on this thread. Possibly tomorrow.

glad you enjoyed scotland. you can find some lovely spots where you can get away from it all & relax.
you come home & feel that you had a holiday.
