Has anyone got a camera and noticed if the infra red lights stay on when camera is switched off.Manufacture saying it is possible for them to run for a sort period after switching off, on power in camera and line.,

Surely Infared is invisible to the human eye anyway ?

no-one should notice them.

Yes, entirely possible & a source of current drain. I'm of the opinion they should not be illuminated if the camera's not being used. The IR LED's on my Camos come on whenever the ambient light drops.

It's not the emitted light he's refering to. It's the LED's themselves which are visible whilst energised.

Depends what your camera is wired up to? mine doesn't work with ignition off. Yes IR is invisible, but some LEDs do give off a faint visible glow.

camera

Original monitor was a flip down, which you could play dvd on.The wiring was for this unit,so it was live all the while. When it became dark the camera switched on until light. So had to run a new wire off the ignition,to stop this.
