Reversing camera

Brought a new bessacarr two years ago with a camera on.It comes up blank every so often, been back several times can not find whats wrong.Going back for a complete new system after christmas,only took two years to sort out ,swift been terrible,has any one else had a problem on reversing cameras on these vans.

got a 2000 reg bessacarr E747.i find the shutter dont open & close as it should ie when you go into reverse the shutter on the camere dont open so i have it tied in the open position.

I wish I had one on my new car
Picked it up today less than 40 miles on the clock and because of an idiot coming down a narrow road in a bus to big for the road I have scratched the back bumper on a hedge trying to reverse out of his way.

Seem to remember friends of ours who had a Bessacar had a problem with their reversing camera. The image was the wrong way round (when you viewed the screen the left/right was opposite to what you want to see) & for some reason you couldn't switch it. In the end they had to replace it with another system.

We too had a problem with the reversing camera on our new Bessacarr E510. Every time we went to use the motorhome the cab battery was flat. After several visits back to the dealer it was finally established that the reversing camera was wired up wrongly and kept draining the cab battery. It took just a few minutes to fix once the problem was found.

Fitted an ebay system to ours, the only problem (which causes a black screen) it the camera plug keeps working loose on the back of the monitor!
