Yesterday, I took my MH for it's weekly run to turn the parts over. My Reversing camera picture tends to flicker, corrects itself and flickers again. I am in reverse gear BUT not moving. Anyone know why it flickers? Thi shas never happened before.

Hi David&Ann
can you check if your reverse lights flicker as well as your camera if so its probably a fault with the reverse light switch on the gearbox

Is the camera "Hard Wired" or Wireless?? Hard wired and you are more than likely needing to check the Multi-stranded cable at both ends of the vehicle. Normally camera systems use a 4 or 5 pin din connection, that can come loose. If wireless, check the power supply and as previously adivsed, the reverse signal input.

Everything is fine now. The 5 pin din was loose. Pushed it in and alls well. Thanks for your advice, one and all.

Mine used to be a bit erratic as well. The shaking and vibration used to work the plug loose at the dashboard monitor.

I made it more reliable by carefully bending the pins in the plug a little bit. This keeps the plug firmly in place when refitted.

Funny you should say that Maingate. I used a wire cutter, clipped off a piece of a saftey pin and wedged it in between the gap of the pin din and plastic casing. Works great now.

Blob of hot glue works wonders, if it finally gives up the ghost, the new one will prob be a different cable or wireless.
