Hi,Can anyone help,give us a clue ?
My aftermarket reversing camera stopped working after i had a LPG system fitted, wether as a result of fitting or just stopped the same time ?Ok,when i switch power on,well nothing...i've checked main fuses, and i cant really see where the wires go from the back of the monitor as they dissapear into the dash.
No idea how old camera is,as it was there when i purchased the second hand motorhome a Elddis Talbot Autoquest 400 GT (from the Gloucster area from Ebay approx 5 years ago)are the previous owners on here ?I was in Porthcawl :)

Try the main fuse to see if you're getting power - if not check your reversing lights are working - power probably comes from there. If you've got power then you're going to have to furtle around to check wires and connectors...

Have you checked the plug on the back of the screen?

Every time I need to reverse, I have to play about with the plug as it must vibrate loose.

One time when it went off, the grandkids must have been fiddling with the contrast etc. It needed setting up again.

The wires in the harness are very fine and can easily break. Mine went off last autumn. Monitor OK showed blue screen. Camera connected to monitor no picture so I sent it back to my supplier. They tested camera on a known system and it was OK. As soon as he put new cable into system it worked before he did the work. They had to fit a new cable from back to front of the Motorhome and it cured it. There was no sign of chaffing or any other damage to the old cable but it wouldn't work. Fitter said it was a common problem.

I first heard `furtling` mentioned on either `The Navy Lark` or `Round the Horn` on the Light programme as a kid.

Given my age away there.
