Been using the channel tunnel for quite a few years now when had a different experience on Sunday morning when we had to cut our trip short. Got onto train in Calais, and after about ten mins, off we go. Hang on, were going backwards. Thinking it was just a short shunt onto another line just sat back. But no. All the way back to Blighty. The sat nav still showed us as moving forward though? This happen to anyone else? (Looking through the side window reminded me of the "Spectrum pursuit vehicles" :))

The satnav still going forward is normal in tunnels, it cannot receive a signal so it calculates (guesses🤔) where you are from the speed as you enter the tunnel.
Did you find out why you had to return?

Yes Tez. Had hospital appointment come through early. SWMBO had a blond moment as we moved off. She said to me, does this mean we have to reverse off the train? (That would be the royal we)

Just once we all had to reverse off the train due to a broken down vehicle near the front,
And for some reason they couldn’t tow it off
