RET to the Isles

I've "heard" from a member of the public who lives on the Isle of Lewis that the Road equivalent Tariff may be getting scrapped.

I attach no validity to this & am merely enquiring if anyone has any factual info. As I said it's here-say so dont go shooting me down puleez

According to Scotish Exec website, the scheme is supposed to run until Spring 2011.

My source in the Calmac management (useful ex-university colleague) says they have received no firm confirmation, formally, about this so are a little hesitant

Aye, that's true, but at least we've got our own parliament & retain the right to vote in yours Oh & we can dump all our nuclear waste beside your houses. We don't want that nasty stuff up here contaminating our lovely countryside.
