Well today i desired to take a chance and go for the ITV inspection with what paper work i had before i left i looked my emails and found that towtal had emailed my one of the papers i needed the bill of sale that i had ask then to email me on Thursday and was told they do it Friday morning anyway i got it thanks towtal, felling a bit better still one parer sort the plan of fixing but i had my own plan to get over that. 1st stop the approved garage near the inspection center half hour later the 5 bits of metal were fix on the back 35 euros total with the fittings and fixing they had to supply, good deal I think. Next of to the techno center straight onto the bay and into the office. Looking good it was the inspector we meet at our first meeting and was very helpful then I hand him the papers I had which these are no good we dont like copy,s. So now time for the good old British Bull s--t.
I said that i was sorry but the one,s sent from the company have been lost in the post and new ones are on the way as it is common in England for important papers to be sent out the day the package is picked up from the shipping company in case they full out if the package is damaged. Ok but you must present these when they arrive. Where is the copy of the fixing plan sorry i have not got that so how did you fix this on I did not fix it on I paid for one of your approved garage to do it and hand him the recite, OK lets begin the Inspection. First part done half way there i thought, so down to the inspection bay we go.
First question what is this? a scooter rack said i then pointing to the photo on the towtal wed site i copied and gave him at our first meeting and what is this? a scooter rack said I. Well this is nothing like this photo is it. On the photo and the bill of sale it clearly says new for 2011 and i had told them this is the one i will order. Sorry this we will not except. Sorry I said but there has been some sort of miss understanding here the photo was to show what a scooter rack would look like on the back of my motor home. Then he said in Spanish and for the first time ever in English which was like a kick in the nuts to me That he fully understood at our first meeting what was said in Spanish and English. Good day and walked back to his office.
So first a little lesson If you find something that you want and it is important for you to have Dont buy it with out seeing it or touching it or even kissing it you could end up like me,
Last thing i want to say is. I never started this to judge Towtal as a bad company for all i know the service face to face with them could be good i went to them after reading some good things about them and at the start they were very helpful I am only sorry it had to end like this. Ken
