So it would appear if you are travelling through France that you should contact the Local City Hall and ask them if it's ok to drive through that bit of France ..

Thought I would ask them about City Halls ..

Thank you for the reply.

We normally travel about 300km per day and don't always plan a route in advance but stop if we find something interesting. If we are expected to phone the Local City Halls everyday to find out if we can drive in their area we are going to be on the phone for a long time.

How do we find the phone numbers for all the Local City Halls and which department do we have to ask for when we phone.

We do not have access to Internet in our Motor Home

What with all this palaver, increased tolls, the lower speed limits, the expensive cost of living and more evidence of a dislike of us Brits...
I'm of a mind to take the long ferry to Spain, and S0d 'em.

Yes

I was planning a week or so in France on the way to Switzerland and then Italy

My change to exiting France "Toute de suite" after the tunnel.
Easy route Brussels Namur Luxembourg.
Then either stay in Germany or better to go via Metz Nancy Pontarlier

Oh Decisions Decisions !!

Or planned roue back is via Slovakia and Poland anyway
:drive:  :lol-049:

Nice and complicated

The app looks like a life-saver, so thanks for posting Davy.

As far as I can see, I'll need to register the campervan (over 3.5T, Euro 5), and car (unknown classification because it's a Jap. import) - hey ho and bye-bye to 59 Euros. Better than copping a fine though.

My vehicle is over 3500kg but luckily is Euro VI compliant. I obtained the French crit-air disc (yellow cat 2) for 4.8 euro and the German umwelt disc (green cat 4) for 6 euro. I also downloaded the free Green-Zones.EU app. so I can now travel in France and Germany without worry.
Note that if you apply these discs direct to the windscreen they cannot be removed so to be safe in case of needing a replacement windscreen I use a couple of transparent "tax disc" holders which can easily be moved across to a new screen.

I seem to think I have read some where that there are some exemptions for blue badge holders and that you can use your uk ones in France, but cant find it and am now wondering if I dreamt it, has any one seen anything regarding blue badges.
