Had a very minor disagreement with a concrete post and the rear drivers side decals on my 2009 Timberland Destiny are badly damaged. Original replacements only come as a complete set and are very expensive, especially as I only need a couple. Anyone used another company to get replacements to match originals? Sent a couple of emails off but jus wondered if anyone has been down this path before me....

Not much help but , from previous experience, there are companies who do copies.
Or , as I did , get rid of them all .

Was there any shadow left when getting rod of them? To be honest it’s my preferred option.

I got them before from a local Vehicle Graphics Company, see who's available in your area, best to drive round so they can see and quote.

You should be able to remove them and polish up the paint work without leaving traces of the old decals,
It is usually just old work vans that you see where the old decals have been removed.
This is down to the fact that they will have had years of being washed with strong
TFR, which is not good for paint work.
But a motorhome that hasn’t been subject to such harsh chemicals to clean it all the time will be fine

Any decent sign company should be able to replicate them quite close in vinyl, exact isn't too important as you can't see both sides together.

As for Ghosting, it's down to how old the van is as the sun fades the uncovered parts more than you imagine, I had a van and spend weeks trying to get rid of ghosting where the previous owner had put some hand cut graphics all over it, they were still there when I sold it.

Yes you can see a "ghost" of the decals I removed due to the rest of the paintwork being faded. Metallic lake blue (Fiat Largo).
K ;)

Thanks to all for the above replies. Will try a local graphic company and then if no luck I can check for fading by removing the damaged one. Still beating myself up over a moments distraction….grrrrr.

It's easily done, I made a right mess of our Laika years ago, I damaged the skirts and end caps, fortunately, the factory still had some spares I could buy and the skirts were aluminium and I took them off and ran the car over them, and rattle can sprayed them up, Try doing that with anything else.

So it could have been much worse.

Not sure where you are based but why not try Steve (Roaming Radfords) in MK. He has a graphics company. (y)
